CHSA is excited to announce our “new” program for youth rec soccer in our community. Your CHSA Board of Directors has been working together since the State and County allowed the return of Youth Sports under the CDPH “COVID-19 Interim Guidance: Youth Sports” released from the State on August 3, 2020.  While we know this program is different than past years we are excited to be able to get kids back on the field and enjoying soccer, all while maintaining all the State/County requirements.

Our plan:

Using our City of Anaheim fields with approved field permits, we plan to host soccer classes led by a designated trainer (Cal South licensed and approved) at predetermined times and fields.  These classes will be offered for players in the 2016 to the 2008 birth years.  These classes will be run monthly, for 2x60 minutes weekly.  Sign up for one month at a time.  Classes are limited to 10 players per class.  Classes start Tuesday, Dec 1.

Registration Fees:

Player registration fee includes the following:

  • A designated trainer- Cal South licensed and certified
  • Cal South Insurance
  • T-shirt
  • Field and league equipment

Fees:

      2 times weekly:

$65 for the month of December

Specialty Classes, 1x weekly:

           $30 per month

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if the State/County allow games to begin?

We will set up a modified game schedule for Saturdays for the remaining Saturdays in that given month at our local city fields.

Can we play with friends?

Yes! so long as they are in the same birth year, and space permits.  Classes are capped at 10 players (no exceptions).  Families would need to work together to sign up for the same class.  Due to confidentially, the league will not release information about where a player is registered.  Families must work this out prior to registering.

As a parent I was hoping to coach a team.  Can I coach?

Unfortunately, this season is different.  In trying to keep with the State/County mandates, we are contracting with coaches who are being paid to coach these teams.  These paid coaches are mandated to coach these classes within the given State/County mandates. This allows CHSA to ensure all protocols are being followed.  Coaches will receive specific training as it relates to COVID protocol and procedure, as well as check in weekly with League Board of Directors.

What protocols are you following to keep players safe?

CHSA is an affiliate league with Cal South soccer- meaning all players and coaches are covered under the Cal South insurance.  All coaches are licensed through US Soccer and have completed all required training and courses as mandated by Cal South.  All coaches have an approved Live Scan with the Department of Justice.

CHSA is following the mandates from the California Dept of Public Health, the County of Orange, the Cal South Protocol and Prevention Guidelines and the Cal South Return to Play Phases and Responsibilities
