Team Coordinators

The Team Coordinator’s role is very important in helping run a successful team.  Here are some suggestions:

  • Communicate openly with your coaches.  Help them with as much administrative work as possible.  This will allow your coaches to focus their energy on the kids.
  • Try to remain organized and mindful of your scheduling.  Record all money that is received and spent.
  • Delegate whenever possible.  You will be surprised at how willing parents on your team are willing to volunteer or assist where needed.
  • Your role is not to act as a “go between” for the parents and your coaches.  Any discontent that parents have should be directed at the coach, not the Team Coordinator.

Like coaches and assistant coaches, team coordinators (aka team managers, team parents) are covered by CalSouth liability insurance when when register and complete the Risk Management (aka Live Scan fingerprinting).  This is put in place to protect our children and our volunteers.  For more information regarding the Cal South Risk Managment click here.  CHSA offers Live Scan at no cost to our participants.
