Update on Taylor Caffrey and her family
Mar 27 2010 - George Merrick

You may recall last season when 4 1/2 year old Taylor Caffrey lost her battle with Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) on September 19, 2009. She passed away from massive heart failure due to the terminal illness she had been fighting for over a year. Known to her Blue Ice Dragon team mates as "Coach Tay", she was a beautiful, smart, funny, and vibrant child. She was a joy and a blessing to all who knew her. Her mother and father (Shari & Michael) and her twin sister (Brooke) miss her desperately. She touched everyone who ever met her or who has heard her story since. Tay will continue to be an inspiration to so many people and a source of great joy and happiness as we carry the many fond memories of her in our hearts and minds.
Taylor's family and friends invite you to join them in celebrating Taylor's life and spirit by gathering together for a 5K Run/Walk held in her name. The event is the "RACE 2 CURE PH - The Taylor Caffrey Memorial 5K Run/Walk" to be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Anaheim Hills Firestation #10 & Sycamore Park located at 8270 E. Monte Vista Road in Anaheim Hills. More details about the race and the days events can be found at www.TaylorsWish.org . You will be able to register on-line, by mail, by fax, or in person on the day of the event.
Please come and spend the day with us and help raise awareness about PH and funds for the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. www.PHAssociaiton.org Taylor's wish is for other families not to have to go through the pain of losing their loved one to Pulmonary Hypertension (PH).
One-hundred percent of the proceeds raised from the event will specifically benefit the Pulmonary Hypertension Association's Research Program, which in the decade since its inception has committed almost $9 million for PH research, supported over 44 promising researchers, and continues toward the goal of finding a cure.
